Evolving Some Sequences on a Computer

To reinforce today's lectures you are going to simulate sequence evolution on the computer. To do this you'll use a program called seq-gen which is the actual research tool used by bioinformaticians for this purpose. First we'll walk you through installing seq-gen, then you'll use it to evolve some sequences. You'll analyze the output of these runs along with real data to calculate some evolutionary distances.
